WHAT IS AN AUSTRALIAN LABRADOODLE?

Our Australian Labradoodle puppies are purpose-bred for temperament, intelligence, and versatility — making them exceptional family companions as well as highly capable therapy and assistance dogs.

At Sirandi Poodles & Oodles, we have carefully developed our Australian Labradoodle lines to combine the best traits of the traditional breeds behind them, while maintaining consistency in temperament, coat, and trainability.

Our puppies are raised on acreage near Brisbane with structured early development, socialisation, and enrichment to set them up for real-world success.

We welcome enquiries from across QLD, Brisbane, South East Queensland, and Australia-wide

The Australian Labradoodle is a multi-generational breed developed using a combination of carefully selected parent breeds to create a consistent, allergy-friendly, highly trainable companion.

Accepted foundation breeds include:

  • Labrador Retriever
  • Poodle
  • Cocker Spaniel (English & American)
  • Irish Water Spaniel
  • Curly Coat Retriever

Our lines are intentionally developed to be very similar in nature and temperament to a Spoodle (Cockapoo) — with higher Cocker Spaniel and Poodle influence, giving that soft, intelligent, highly people-focused

This results in a dog that is:

  • Highly social and people-oriented
  • Naturally trainable
  • Emotionally intuitive
  • Balanced in drive and energy

WHY OUR AUSTRALIAN LABRADOODLES

Our Australian Labradoodles are not just bred for looks — they are bred with purpose.

These dogs are an excellent option for therapy and assistance work, which is a core reason we have developed this bloodline.

Many of our puppies go on to become:

  • Therapy dogs
  • Assistance/support dogs
  • Detection dogs (including diabetic alert and gluten detection)

They are particularly suited to:

  • Families wanting a stable, intelligent companion
  • Homes looking for a trainable, responsive dog
  • Handlers wanting a dog capable of structured work

They also excel in nose work and scent-based roles, thanks to their natural curiosity and engagement.

TEMPERAMENT & SUITABILITY

Our Australian Labradoodles are:

  • Intelligent and eager to learn
  • Social and people-focused
  • Gentle but capable
  • Playful without being overwhelming
  • Adaptable to both active and family lifestyles

They are well suited to:

  • Family homes
  • First-time dog owners (with guidance)
  • Therapy and assistance pathways
  • Active homes wanting an involved companion

With correct guidance, they develop into calm, stable, and highly rewarding dogs to live with.

HOW PUPPIES ARE ALLOCATED

How Our Australian Labradoodle Puppies Are Allocated

At Sirandi Poodles & Oodles, puppies are not allocated based purely on colour or order alone — they are carefully matched based on temperament, suitability, and lifestyle.

Step 1 – Join the Waiting List

Families join our waiting list with an initial deposit. Placement order is considered, however suitability is always prioritised.

Step 2 – Early Development & Assessment

From birth, each puppy is raised using structured development protocols, allowing us to observe:

• Confidence levels

• Drive and energy

• Human focus

• Sensitivity and resilience

 Step 3 – Temperament Testing (5 & 7 Weeks)

Each puppy undergoes structured temperament assessments at 5 and 7 weeks of age.

This allows us to accurately evaluate developing traits, including:

• Confidence and resilience

• Drive and energy levels

• Human engagement and focus

• Sensitivity and recovery

• Problem-solving ability

By assessing puppies at two key stages, we gain a clearer picture of how each puppy is developing — ensuring more accurate matching to the right home.

These assessments are particularly important for identifying puppies suited to:

• Therapy and assistance roles

• Detection and scent work

• Family companion homes

 Step 4 – Puppy Selection

Families are invited to view puppies (in person or via FaceTime) and select from 2–3 suitable matches based on their preferences.

 Step 5 – Final Allocation

Final placement is guided to ensure the best match between puppy and home.

We reserve the right to guide or decline placements if a puppy is not suited to a particular home.

We are selective about where our puppies go to ensure the right match for both puppy and family.

With only two Australian Labradoodle litters produced each year, availability is limited and many puppies are reserved in advance.

To apply:

  • Complete our Puppy Questionnaire
  • Review our Sales Contract
  • Contact us to discuss upcoming litters

We take the time to match each puppy based on temperament and suitability — particularly for families seeking therapy, assistance, or structured companion dogs.

Early enquiries are strongly recommended to avoid missing out.

Whether you are looking for a therapy prospect, assistance dog, or a well-balanced family companion, our Australian Labradoodles are bred to give you the best possible start.
